With Emily

Life brings challenges we don't ask for that can leave us feeling lost, overwhelmed, and unsure of the next step. You don't have to face these alone.

Emily Duckworth - Integrative Counsellor

My Approach

Hello, I'm Emily and I offer a safe, non-judgmental and supportive space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind, allowing you to reflect and make sense of your thoughts and emotions. My approach is integrative, drawing on different types of therapies to suit your unique needs. Together we'll explore what matters most to you, at your own pace, while being met with understanding, allowing you to feel more at ease and build the confidence to navigate the best way forward.

Integrative Counselling

My work is rooted in humanistic approaches which value empathy, authenticity and acceptance at the heart of the therapeutic relationship. I am highly trained in grief therapy and transactional analysis which means I bring a deep understanding of how loss and relationship dynamics can shape our lives. Where helpful, I will incorporate grounding techniques, parts work and self-identity exploration to support self-awareness and a greater sense of stability and wholeness.

My Background

My background includes supporting people through their most challenging and transformative experiences. I've supported individuals affected by cancer with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, and with Samaritans providing a space for those in distress. I've supporting those grieving with Cruse Bereavement Support, and with NAPAC supporting adult survivors of abuse. I've also worked in education and with Barnardo's supporting children with additional needs. These experiences have deepened the compassion, understanding and openness I bring to my counselling practice.
